Stone Mountain Memorial 1925 half dollar coins just $15.00 each. The first Stone Mountain Memorial commemorative half dollars were struck in Philadelphia on January 21, 1925, to mark the 101st anniversary of General Stonewall Jackson's birth. The obverse is dominated by equestrian figures of Robert E. Lee and Thomas J. ("Stonewall") Jackson, with the words “In God We Trust” & “Stone Mountain” as well as the date 1925.  There are 13 stars around the top to represent the 13 states that were a part of the Confederation. The reverse illustrates an eagle perched on a mountain, with an inscription: “MEMORIAL TO THE VALOR OF THE SOLDIER OF THE SOUTH”. The reverse also includes the words, “United States of America”, “E. Pluribus Unum”, “Liberty” and “Half Dollar”. These coins are a great symbol of American history!
